The new Logo of A Year On The Field - focusing on hay.

We are happy to announce that a new logo has been created for the Year On The Fields 2025 Hay year. It perfectly catches the broadness and and depth in which we want to approach the topic of Hay. Lets hear what Lauren Muney (USA), Silhouette Artist and Logo designer, has to say about the process of creating the logo for the project:

It’s been an honor to work on the logos for the Year on the Field. It’s been a distinct pleasure this season, to reflect on haymaking’s long history, from historical eras as well as our modern time. The hay logo reflects that hay is a grass, grown and cut around the world to feed and bed all sorts of animals through the long winter when there was no grass to eat. I myself have cut grass with a scythe, turned it over in the fields to dry, and then walked down the rows of drying grass to collect the hay in a wagon to store for animal feed. Our modern farmers use tractors to cut, bale, and prepare the hay for storage; no matter the era in time, hay transcends centuries and borders. And if the many artworks about haymaking across the world and across time can attest, hay also feels like our connection to all the rolling hills of our planet. Hay has always been a part of our lives. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
