The Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory is focusing on educating the public about the Early Middle Ages and is at the same time a research facility, especially in the field of Experimental Archaeology.

While a detailed report on wheat cultivation in the Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory (Germany) is still in preparation, attention is already drawn here to the individual work steps in the context of an illustrative video. In detail, this includes soil cultivation with a reconstructed plow, harrow and cultivator (the latter as a more modern working tool, which was used for labor-economical reasons), sowing, harvesting as well as loading and transporting away the harvested crop.
